The Ineffable Con is an unofficial convention run by and for Good Omens fans. We don't make any money from running our events; any surplus left over after covering our running costs is donated to charity.
We were founded in June 2019 by Rachael and Tracionn, who together ran the first Ineffable Con in Buckinghamshire, England, in October 2019. The convention sold out months in advance and raised £1,258.93 for Alzheimer's Research UK in memory of Sir Terry Pratchett.
Following the convention, Rachael and Bethany planned a party in London for May 2020 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the book. When the coronavirus pandemic hit and scuppered these plans, the party was moved online and 500 people from around the world signed up!
The Good Omens Month of May 2020 continued with a series of Watch Parties and two Zoom after-parties - one of which lasted for days after the event! Combined, the 30th Birthday Party and Good Omens Month parties raised £3,306 for Alzheimer's Research UK!
Rachael and Bethany are now working on an entirely online convention for October 2020: The Ineffable Con 2!
